1 - 10 of 20 - Feb 17, 2012 I visited Dr. Varano concerning the diet program he offers (HCG) and, also after loosing 24 pounds, for laser liposuction. Since I was 10 years old I have struggled with my weight and have been on every diet plan you can imagine. I had visited doctors, nutrionists, therapists, everyone I could find dealing with loosing weight. During this time I also had more weight problems due to other medical problems. Some doctors had told me to give up trying to loose weight with my medical issues, but I just could not-especially with my family's medical history. I found Dr. Varano's information at the Pentagon City Mall and decided to meet for a free consultation and do some research on his techniques. After meeting with him and the nurse in charge of the HCG diet I decided to try it. What the diet promised was too good to be true, but I still wanted to try. At the end I had lost 24 pounds and 5 months later I still have not gained the weight back. The nurse was incredibly supportive and helpful. She had also been through the diet and told me what had personally worked for her and what had not. After the weight lose I wanted to also try the laser liposuction for my arms and my stomoch (two areas I had never been able to see much difference in, even after all of the hours I had worked out with trainers). From the first time I met with Dr. Varano he had been very honest with me about what to expect. When I had first met with him I was over my BMI so he did not recommend the procedure as it would not have made as much of a difference as when I was at my BMI. Years before I had undergone liposuction (not laser) and, not only did it not work well and I gained the weight back quickly, but I had numerous medical problems afterwards. I found out years later that it would not have been recommended with my medical problems and weight to have tried liposuction then. This is why it was especially good to hear Dr. Varano be honest and not out to make just money off his patients. He really does want to help them. It has only been a few weeks after the laser liposuction and I am so incredibly happy with the results already! I have been telling everyone who has expressed interests in dieting and/or liposuction to contact Dr. Varano. He and his staff are wonderful and I am happy to refer them!!
Dr. Varano has been
keeping me fresh with mini enhancements for
several years. He always explains the procedures in detail and also gives me
realistic expectations on the results I should expect. So I was thrilled when I
asked him if laser liposuction was something that could help with my "bat
wings" and my "love handles" and he replied yes. Being just over
60, I had no aspirations to be a super model but I was hoping to see some
results. The results are spectacular. I am already wearing smaller clothes and
my bat wings are virtually gone. The procedure was relatively painless and the
recovery was as expected -- two lazy days around the house. I love Dr. Varano's

Excellent results and
care with Dr V I normally do not
write reviews for physicians on line however, the exceptional service and
results from Dr. Varanos office prompted me to write this. I consulted with Dr.
Varano for laser liposuction several weeks before the surgery, he took the time
to explain the entire procedure. He put me at ease as I was very ambivalent
about doing the surgery. Everything he said was true, It was relatively
painless and I was OK the next day. He was very professional with his follow up
and called me personally to make sure everything was OK. Bottom line the
results are spectacular. It is approximately two months later and I look great.
I have shrunk several pant sizes and there is minimal scarring. I would
recommend Dr Varano to anyone considering laser liposuction without hesitation.

Very Pleased with
everything!! I have had two
procedures at this office. I researched a lot of offices doing cosmetic procedures
and I found this office to be very clean and Dr. Drew and his assistant Allison
to be very professional. I had Botox injections for my forehead which helped
decrease lines of stress dramatically but not make me look "fake". Dr
Drew made my forehead look very relaxed and natural. I also received laser
treatment for my face and am very pleased with the results. Dr. Drew was great
with follow-up and answered my calls and e-mails so quickly. All in all I have
had amazing care at this office and plan to have other procedures at this

Happy with the service
and staff I had the pleasure
of receiving treatments by Dr. Varano and his staff last month, The office is
beautiful, clean and accessible. He and his staff are very pleasant and
cordial. I felt very comfortable and will be going back for future treatments.
Dr Varano was very knowledgeable about all the procedures they perform and was
able to tailor my treatment to fit my needs. I have recommended his practice to

worst place .
beware No Star at all. this is
the worst place to go for lazer . I urge everybody to take my advice seriously.
2 years ago i started with them and they gave me an agreement of 4 sessions per
$ 950 each to treat full body and 2 sessions for $760 each and anything after
that for $200 per session . the nurse wrote this agreement on a paper for me.
today after almost 2 years and after taking all the big money ( $950 is a lot
of money for one session , today you can see deals for $440 for a session. )as
i mentioned after taking the big money and when i came to the $200 session , dr
varano started making story that i should pay more for the session and he wants
money by hour .his secretary told me i have to pay$ 500 for the $200 session,
and when i refused he started calling me names and telling me that his nurses
were complaining about me and they don t like to treat me .which i totally didn
t understand because the nurses were friendly with me all the time for 2 years

Great Service for a
Great Value! My friend and I
both purchased a Groupon deal to MedicalCosmetic Enhancements for
laser hair removal. It's a wonderful deal and includes 3 sessions for $185. We
scheduled our first session for December 19th- the day of a huge snowstorm. The
day before the storm I received 2 phone calls from Medical Cosmetic
Enhancements asking if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. The nice
lady informed me of their 24 hour cancellation policy but said they were
allowing reschedules due to the severity of the storm. In my bravado (and not
having even seen the forecast!) I decided to keep my appointment. The next day
there was quite a bit of snow. My friend and I made the trek (from Northern VA-
about 40 minutes away in good weather). The staff was EXTREMELY accommodating
and understanding. We arrived a few minutes late but they were incredibly
gracious- they even had fresh baked treats available for us! We met with Dr

FABULOUS-HIGHLY
RECOMMEND I have known Dr.
Drew for over ten years. He is a dedicated professional and the only one I will
trust with my face. As a model and actress, I am often in front of the camera
and need to always look my best. Dr. Drew has used botox to get rid of my frown
lines and has used restylane to sculpt perfect lips! My friends and family
comment that I've never looked better. I agree! I am soooo very happy with how
I look. Additionally, Dr. Drew goes out of his way to schedule me at a time
convenient for me, no matter when it may be. His receptionist, Laura, is so
friendly and welcoming. My experience at Dr. Drew's office is always top-notch!

Recommended!! I have known Dr.
Verano both personally and professionally for 15 years. Over the years, I have,
and continue to have, botex treatements, laser hair removal as well as Fraxel
laser performed by Dr. Verano as well as his nurses. They are not only
professional but honest and genuine people. Dr. Verano will always give you his
honest opinion and never recommend unnecessary treatments. I find that quality
alone, something worth noting and one of the many reasons myself and my friends
go to Dr. Verano .....we can trust him. More often than not, my friends and I
are always calling Dr. Verano asking him to squeeze us in last minute and he is

Highly Recommend! I have been a patient of Dr. Varano for
five years. He has performed multiple procedures on me including, Fraxel, Botox
and facial fillers. His work is flawless. I'm often mistaken for twenty years
younger than my actual age. Not only is Dr. Varano very talented he and his
staff have accommodated my busy schedule. I've had to reschedule appointments
due to business travel and Dr. Varano and his staff have always been very
understanding. He and his staff always take the time to make sure that I am
relaxed and comfortable during each procedure. Ive been to other offices where
I have felt rushed but not at Dr. Varanos office.I have recommended Dr. Varano

enter into doctor patient relationship and that is exactly what I have with Dr.
Varano. I have been a patient of his for over 4 years now with no regrets. I
have had several different procedures with him including botox, restylne,
microfraxel and thermage. I am a 45 year old past sun worshipper, and with his
guidance my skin has been transformed!!!! Before I went to Dr. Varano I spent
thousands of dollars with another Doctor and saw very little results and even
less service because she constantly passed me off to a nurse. I didn't
understand real caring service until I put my trust into Dr. Varano's hands. I

HIghly Recommend! I just wanted to thank you and let you know how
happy I am with my laser hair removal. It's so nice to not worry about waxing
every month. The whole overall experience was fantastic....Amanda- you were
amazing! The staff and facilities were great as well. I will definitely be

Regardless of Procedure
- Always Top Drawer! I'm a 62 year old
woman who has known Dr. Varano for nearly four years. I've had several
procedures done including Restylane, Slim Lipo, and one other procedure. Every
procedure has been a complete success. I've never experienced any unnecessary
discomfort, never had any difficulty with post procedure complications, and I
couldn't be happier. Dr. Varano and his staff are compassionate and
considerate. I'm a person who has struggled with my weight all my life and now
that I'm middle aged, I've developed some fat around my mid body. Dr. Varano
was very sensitive to my feelings and he and his staff made me feel very secure
when we talked about Slim Lipo. The Slim Lipo procedure went so smoothly that I
was back to work within in a couple of days of the procedure. I am now 2 dress sizes

Love him! I have known Dr. Drew for over 10 years.
In all this time, I have never had a negative experience with him. He is one of
the most professional people I have ever met in the cosmetic industry.
Many other doctors try to make you feel bad about yourself in order to push
other (more expensive) procedures that you do not need. You do not have to
worry about that with him..he gives an honest opinion that you can trust! And
you walk out of his office looking beautiful. He has been my Botox provider for
years...and he is quick, and virtually painless. Additionally, he has always
been accomodating. Many times he has squeezed me in when my schedule has been
too busy for a scheduled appointment. Just like the title of this review

Years of Excellent
Service I have been going
to Dr. Varano for the last few years and have always been more than happy with
my results. Please know that I am not related to him and know him only from an
office setting. In a city where unqualified people perform cosmetic procedures
that should only be performed by an actual doctor (i.e. sticking a needle near
your eye), Dr. Varano still does these more risky procedures himself. He is
always courteous, his staff is more than accommodating to my busy schedule, and
his service is always exceptional. I would definitely recommend him to my

EXCELLENT SERVICE My friend and I both purchased the Groupon
Deal with Medical Cosmetic Enhancements. From start to finish I had
a great experience with everyone from the phone operator to Dr. Varano. Our
first session was on December 19, 2009 when the area had a HUGE snowstorm. They
were very accommodating and even though we were late they waited for us with no
penalties and even had fabulous homemade brownies waiting for us, which was
really nice! Dr. Varano gave us our first treatment and he was fabulous! We
just had our second treatment and once again everyone was great! I cant wait

laser hair removal done on my underarms and found that the staff was very
friendly and informative. I was pretty nervous about doing the procedure since
the most I've done was wax. But, the staff made me feel at ease and didn't
start anything until I was comfortable. The whole appointment lasted about 20
minutes, most of it being the consultation and the laser didn't hurt. I felt
like I was getting tickled. Overall, I'd say I'm very pleased with how
everything turned out.
6/4/2011 I had
Laser Liposuction done on arms by Dr Verano 3 weeks ago. The results were
better than I expected, as he had described the procedure to me during our
initial consultation. He wanted to give me realistic expectations for
what the results would render. Though I am not over weight, I had arms
that would " flap" in the wind . No matter how I try to age
gracefully, thats what happens to most women. I was a little sore the
next day, but the discomfort was tolerable. I did not even use the pain
medicine prescribed. Dr Varano personally called me the next day, to check and
see how I was feeling. His office staff was very personable, helpful, and
knowledgeable. I was a little hesitant at first, but am glad I made the
decision to have the treatment done. I can now fit into shirts/tops that I
would have reservations wearing in the past. He really deserves a 5 start
rating, which I will change once the after pictures at the 6 months mark are
completed. If you are contemplating having the treatment , I highly suggest you
sign up for a consult with this practice

have had laser hair removal on my back performed by Dr. Verano on numerous
occasions over the last 3 years. Having evaluated the results after these
multiple years of treatment, I have to report that I am extremely satisfied
with the results. The procedures themseles were only minimally
uncomfortable, exactly as Dr. Verano explained that they would be; his staff
was very attentive and professional; and Dr. Verano's knowledge and skills in
performing the procedures was impecable. As a physician myself, I am
keenly sensitive to the competency, knowledge base, and skill set in any physician
that I, myself, will see. Dr. Verano clearly exceeded my hopes and
expectations. In the end, the hair growth on my back, a notoriously
difficult body part in which to successfully perform laser hair removal,
is greatly thinned, grows much more slowly, and is cosmetically much
improved--exactly as Dr. Verano and I hoped that it would be. Indeed, I
strongly recommend Dr. Verano for his expertise and competence in performing
oupatient cosmetic medical treatments.

2nd visit was much better than the 1st.
5/4/2011 I
read lot of reviews before deciding, so here is mine: I had slimlipo 5 days
ago. (I'll update results). After having 2 kids I could not lose my stomach. I
still looked kind of pregnant/fat, and before kids I didn't have a tummy. I
waited 18 month after my second child because I thought that I was going to
lose weight and go back to kind of normal and I did not have the money (2 kids,
2 daycares, you probably know...) Well, I saved and exercised as much as I
could with work + kids + house to take care for. The lipo was fine, he was
great and so was Sheila (his assistant), all went very well. When I got up from
the table I did not have love handles anymore and my belly was gone! I
leaked for 24 h as they said I would. What I was not counting on was the pain.
I have some bruising and I was in a lot more pain than I expected. The first 2
days the pain was comparable to the c-sections, now it's much better. Recovery
is faster, every day I feel much better. Dont get me wrong it was very worth it
and I would do it again in a heartbeat. If I had anticipated the pain I would
have planned better to have family around to help with the kids while I could
recover. Also, I can't take off work and that may have been a factor. Yesterday
I couldn't walk my 2 miles to work, today I kind of could... I'm still swollen
and a bit uneven but very happy with the results so far. why not 5 starts?
because i'm swollen and couldnt see the final results yet.

very pleased with the services here. The staff was so welcoming and kind.
Everyone was very professional and I had the best experience! I had my
procedure done by Allison. She was amazing and made me feel super comfortable.
I am absolutely coming back here and i recommend her to everyone!
1/23/2011 I
went to see Dr. Varano for a consultation at the Modern Day Spa in the Pentagon
Mall. I am forty, and I was primarily concerned with skin laxity under my chin.
I asked Dr. Varano about using Thermage or SlimLipo, and he said that he would
recommend SlimLipo. He started to explain exactly how SlimLipo would remove the
small amount of fat that had accumulated under my chin and tighten the skin. I
immediately cut Dr. Varano off, and I said that I was already familiar with how
SlimLipo worked. I told him that I appreciated the explanation, but I was a
researcher. I had already done all the necessary research. He politely and
firmly insisted that I might not know everything that differentiated SlimLipo
from traditional liposuction or SmartLipo. In fact, Dr. Varano was exactly
right. I did not know everything about SlimLipo, and he proceeded to give me
the type of information that I would need to know to make an informed decision.
He must have spent almost 30 minutes talking to me, and honestly, I hardly ever
talk to any sort of doctor for longer than 10 minutes. Most of them do not take
the time.
6/27/2011 I
bought a Living Social coupon for $165 for 3 microdermabrasions treatments. I
have done microdermabrasions at Vitalia Med Spa in Tysons Corner, also using a
coupon deal and it was excellent. There was very slight redness for one day but
my skin felt and looked great afterwards. I really felt like my skin was
glowing afterwards. I was really impressed with just one treatment. I only did
one because their treatments are usually $200 without a coupon. It was also a
nice spa environment, lights turned down, soft music. The Vitalia treatment
took about 45 minutes.

here's the thing. Dr Varanos seems to be quite competent. I just
finished laser lipo with him. He was great about letting my friend - also
a Dr - be in the procedure with us which helped me alot. He also seems
like a great guy personally - I like him. What he really needs however,
is a competent, consistently reliable administrative staff. Not the
esthesticians - they wre better than average - but the receptionist/admin
staff. This seemed to be a bit off, thus he was taking up the slack which
is unfair to him as a usy surgeon. If he could find someone reliable (Think
he has temps?) that would be great for him and likely his clientele.
Otherwise I do recommed him; there's everything to like about his
performance of Slim lipo. I can't see why anyone would go under general
anesethesia to get this done. He is young enough to take current and
emerging trends seriously in the plastic surgery profession - something I was
specifically looking for. I believe he will also continue to be current
on emerging trends which bodes well for his future practice

back for other procedures last month, including botox and fraxel treatment.
Results were great and again Dr Varano helped me understand the results I
should expected . I recommend Dr V and the friendly atmophere he and his whole staff

You Dr Varano!!!, You have never over promised and have always produced results
that are beyond my expectations. I lost 4 dress sizes since the Laser
Liposuction and have absolutely no residual effect. I had a smooth transition
back to work 2 days later. There was no discomfort and I've had a radical
difference in my ability to exercise. I've had a good experience going back to
the gym and don't feel like everyone is looking at me. This provided the
improvement on body areas where diet and exercise were just not enough
