What is MicroExfoliation?   Years of sun exposure and the aging process take their toll on the skin, creating lines, wrinkles, and changes in texture and color. MicroExfoliation can reduce the effects of aging on our skin. MicroExfoliation is a treatment that can improve fine lines, skin texture and color by removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it more supple and vibrant. MicroExfoliation also stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of the skin resulting in a healthier and firmer appearance

What is the NewApeel™ Crystal-Free microdermabrasion system?  A wonderful alternative to chemical peels, the NewApeel™ MicroExfoliation treatment is non-invasive, pain-free and requires no down time after treatment. There are no messy crystals, which are used by other microdermabrasion systems. Leading plastic surgeons and dermatologist regard the NewApeel™ system as being more gentle and affective than other exfoliating systems, even at higher settings. Results are gradual but highly effective. Most people experience softer, smoother skin after their first treatment.

What are the Benefits from Microdermabrasion Treatments?

How many treatments are in a series and what is the cost?  Treatments can be done on an individual basis, but an initial series of 6 treatments spaced apart every 2-3 weeks is recommended. Each treatment takes about 20 minutes.  (Unlike a spa treatment there is NO moisturizing mask or full facial , We are not a Spa but as a plastic surgery office we  offer medical grade exfoliation, If you are looking for a Spa atmosphere and pampering please do not choose this option).  Treatments cost $200 per session, or $775 for a  discounted package of six treatments. It is important to use sun protection post treatment and not to have recently used any retin-A, or exfoliating agents (alpha hydroxyl, glycolic acids, etc)  for several days before receiving a treatment.

What is a Glycolic Chemical Peel? Chemical Peels use chemicals such as alpha or beta hydrox acids to resurface the top layer of skin cells address skin texture, tone, anti aging and/or acne concerns. Beta -Hydroxy peels are an effective way to reduce acne break outs. Treatments can be done on an individual basis, but a series of 6 is usually recommended spaced apart 2-3 weeks. Chemical peels can be superficial, medium or deep. Different grades or percentages increase the damage or depth desired, we use 30%-70% grades. Most peels are superficial with no downtime. Unlike PCA peels, the Glycolic peels in general do not cause much if any peeling , mostly redness.    Cost $200-$300 depending on grade desired. It is important to use sun protection post treatment and not to have recently used any retin-A, or exfoliating agents (alpha hydroxyl or glycolic acids)  for several days before receiving a treatment. Also some treatments are not recommended is you have an aspirin allergy, pregnant or nursing.  For more info click below:
