Dr. Varano on Today's Health TV Program
Dr. Drew Varano has been associated with the Washington DC area since his undergraduate studies at Catholic University. After obtaining a Master's degree in physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University, Dr. Varano attended medical school at Penn State College of Medicine. He completed residency at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore and did an additional year of Neurology training at Georgetown University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr Varano also served as a department head at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC. He is licensed to practice Medicine and Surgery in District of Columbia & Virginia. Dr Varano started Medical Cosmetic Enhancements in 2003 and has been practicing cosmetic and aesthetic medicine exclusively since 2003. After residency, Dr. Varano did extra training and worked with a facial plastic surgeon for over 7 years. He is certified by the following:

In 2007 Dr. Varano was certified for Liposuction under local anesthesia. He has served as a luminary physician for Palomar Laser. This includes teaching other physicians about the safe and effective uses of Slimlipo Laser Liposuction. He also serves as a luminary physician for ThermiRF which involves education other physicians on Thermitight & ThermiVA. He has been performing multiple laser and skin care enhancing procedures since 2002, and oversees the office which routinely perform over 5000 treatments a year and has performed over 3000 surgical liposuction cases. Dr. Drew Varano has been featured in several TV programs focusing on the latest laser and non invasive technology such as FOX, CBS, & ABC News, Retirement Living TV &Today's Health. He has served as a consultant for USA Today News.
Emmanuelle has been with the practice since 2011 serving both as the practice administrator and medical assistant. She is a Washington, DC native and attended the University of Maryland double majoring in English and art history. She is fluent in French and Spanish making patients feel welcomed and comfortable by communicating to them in their native language. She is usually the first person you'll speak with on the phone and communicate with online. She holds certifications for all the non-invasive procedures offered in the office, including CoolSculpting, which she has performed over 5000 treatments, Ultherapy, lasers (from laser hair removal to resurfacing), and serves as surgical assistant. Her favorite procedure to perform is Fractional CO2 on the hands and CoolSculpting. During her free time, Emmanuelle loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and chihuahua, going on travel adventures, power yoga, and exercising.

Ansley joined the practice in 2021 having had over 10 years of nursing experience. Her nursing career began in the Trauma Burn ICU at University of Alabama at Birmingham’s level I trauma center. She has been in the DMV area for the last 6 years, where she has continued to provide skin care treatments and aesthetic procedures. Nurse Evans believes in a holistic approach to aesthetic medicine and enjoys guiding patients to a conservative, natural result. Having attended art school at Pratt Institute and having majored in Art History and Psychology, at Auburn University, her ability to combine a trained aesthetic eye with the in-depth nursing background, she is able to provide a personalized plan of care for each patient. During her free time, she enjoys walking her French Bulldogs, spending time with her family and playing water sports.
Adriana joined the practice in 2022 as our Medical Esthetician. Adriana became an esthetician from Aveda Beauty Institute in 2012 and earned her laser esthetic certification in 2019. Having worked in several spas, she became very interested in helping people achieve beautiful and youthful skin through treatments such as IPL, Fraxel, and exfoliation treatments. Lately, she has developed a passion for laser tattoo removal. In addition to her esthetician role, she is a surgical assistant for Dr. Varano. She’s a Washington, DC native who loves to go hiking along waterfalls and loves to spending time with family on the weekend.
