WHAT IS KYBELLA?
KybellaTM is a FDA approved prescription injection used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe submental fullness (Double chin) . It is composed of deoxycholic acid which is naturally produced in the human body and involved with breaking down and absorption of fats. It is a non surgical alternative to treating a double chin. A series of small injections are placed into into the submental fatty tissue, it causes destruction of submental fatty tissue. Once destroyed those cells can not accumulate or store fat. We recommend you avoid ibuprofen or blood thinning products 1 week before the treatment.
Each treatment takes about 15-20 minutes. Depending on the degree of improvement most individuals will see improvements within 2-4 sessions spaced apart approximately every 4 weeks. Up to 6 sessions maybe required for full correction.
The most common side effects were numbness, swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, firmness.
$850-$1200 per session. Priced per vial (1-3 vials). Kybella usually requires multiple 3+ sessions. Coolsculpting is $750 a session (2 sessions are recommended for the Double chin/neck)
